Max Fredrick Vieweg Sr - Class of 1941

"VIEWEG, Max F., Sr., 89, of Wheeling, W.Va., died Monday, April 6, 2009, in the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Wheeling.

He was born January 6, 1920, in Wheeling, the son of the late Max W. and Mayme Morgan Vieweg.

He was a retired branch manager for RCA; a Lutheran by faith; a member of the Warwood Lions Club for over 30 years and a Cub Master for 12 years with Pack 13 Cub Scouts. He served on church council for 15 years at the former Warwood Lutheran Church. He was also an Army-Air Corps veteran of WWII.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, B. Morgan Vieweg.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy Hilmes Vieweg; his sons, Max F. Vieweg, Jr. and his wife, Alberta, of West Chester, Pa., Mark Vieweg and his wife, Betsy, of Wheeling, Kevin Vieweg and his wife, Tina, of Bath, Pa., and Scott Vieweg and his wife, Linda, of San Antonio, Texas; his daughter, Carolyn Fabian and her husband, Joseph, of Cherry Hill, N.J.; grandchildren Katie Trimmier, Christopher Vieweg, Stephen Vieweg, Lauren Vieweg, Alexander Fabian, and Luke Fabian; a great- grandson, Kaleb Trimmier; special nieces Judie Jones and Rosella Paree.

Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Kepner Funeral Home, Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Ave., Wheeling, where services will be held Friday, 10 a.m. with Pastor Gail Bauzenberger officiating.

Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Warwood Lions Club services will be held Thursday, 3:30 p.m.
