"Mr. William Thomas Ramsey, Jr., age 79 of Surfside Beach, SC died Sunday, January 26, 2014 in Sparta. He was born in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania to the late William Thomas Sr., and Mary Alberta Davis Ramsey. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Ellen Prophater. He is survived by his wife, Barbara M. Ramsey of the home; one son, William Gregory Ramsey and wife Lynn of Synder, NY; two daughters, Michelle Ramsey Howard of Piney Creek, Marla Ramsey Adams and husband Jason of Tupelo, MS; six grandchildren, Meaghan Ramsey, Taylor Ramsey both of Synder, NY, Joshua Howard, Ramsey Howard both of Piney Creek, Logan Adams, Morissa Adams both of Tupelo, MS; one sister, Janice Ebling and husband Bill of Advance; several nieces and nephews also survive. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Grandview Memorial Funeral Home in Sparta is proudly serving the Ramsey family.
