Reverend James Edward Linn, Jr., 53, of Monongahela, Pennsylvania, passed away in peaceful slumber at his home on July 21, 2013 after a year-long battle with brain cancer.

He was past president and continuing member of the Charleroi Area Ministerial Association (CAMA), a leading member of the Tri-County Men’s Fellowship of the Christian Church and the Southwest District of the Christian Church in PA and a member of the Regional Board of Christian Church (DOC) in PA. He was a perennial volunteer at the Charleroi Area Senior Center and whenever called upon, Jim selflessly dedicated his energies to anyone in need of his talents and supported various other organizations in the Mon Valley.

His was a gentle spirit that found solace in listening to his vast collection of music, collecting shells at the beach and attempting to be an avid fisherman on yearly treks to Nags Head, NC. His greatest joy was his continued charitable support of his beloved Pittsburgh Pirates which, until his last breath, he had faith in to have a winning season. He was a Pittsburgh Pirate season ticket holder for 35 years.

Jim embraced death as he embraced life, with strength and dignity. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
